No, not at the moment. The September 11th Excursion was only 'Provisional', but I do not know why the 18th Sepember one was cancelled.

I believe that I now have the answer: 'Tornado' is booked to visit The West Somerset Railway from Saturday 4th September to Sunday 19th September. (You will need to check with the WSR as to which days 'Tornado' will actually be running).

60163 'Tornado' Excursions 2010 [continued (Part 7)]:

- October:

'The Merseyside Tornado' Excursion scheduled for Saturday 2nd October [Liverpool-London Euston (and return)] has been postponed to 24th May 2011.

This only leaves the following 'Main Line' Excursion for October:
- Friday 22nd October: 'The Royal Borderer' [York-Edinburgh (and return)]

So, where will 'Tornado' be for the rest of October? I will tell you:

- Friday 1st October-Sunday 3rd October: The North Yorkshire Moors Railway as a 'surprise guest' (so don't tell anyone will you?).
- Saturday 9th October: A Private Meeting of the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust at Barrow Hill Roundhouse, near Chesterfield.
- Sunday 10th October: Public 'Open Day' at Barrow Hill Roundhouse.
- Saturday 23rd October-Sunday 31st October: East Lancashire Railway, at Bury.

I was disapointed to see TORNADO being recovered by a class 66 Deisel locomotive through Northampton at 20:20 last night! :( :(

It was blamed on leaking valves and BAD coal!

Just a Reminder about the Excursion tomorrow (Saturday 4th December):

The Bath Christmas Market: Bedford -Bristol (and return). For the ('Provisional') Route and Timings, use the link below:

These details may be subject to change, due to this 'Weather Event' (as the Politicians now call it!!!!).

Word reached us that TORNADO would be stopping at Northampton Railway Station for 10 minutes at 20:00hrs on Saturday, in the end she arrived rather early and eventually left ahead of time at 20:05.

I was lucky enough to be invited on the wonderfully warm footplate for a look around.
