Snow yesterday and again today, that gritty stuff more like ice. Mind you it hasn't settled.

Had a short drive out to Kent this afternoon, main roads weren't too bad but the side/minor roads were a joke :-o around Westerham where these pics were taken ,it wasn't so much the depth of snow but the drifting ,in some places up to 5 ft ,the roads over the Greensand ridge were particularly iffy and the further south I went the worse it got so I gave up!

ps-I did have one happy moment ,as I was going down Westerham Hill a Volvo in front slammed his brakes on and when I rounded bend the reason was cos an Audi Coupe had run into a 5 ft drift and was buried to above the hood :)) although I hope no one was hurt ?

I "Sprang Ahead" to Daylight Saving Time
just this Sunday.....

Someone please satisfy my curiosity and
tell me how long before you guys do so as
well???

Oh, and how long are your days running at
this point? We're getting over eleven and a
half hours of daylight right now....

MUCH better than Xmas Time when it's
under EIGHT ~x(

So, we're just about the same at this point......

In the SUMMER, though, you outdo us by
quite a bit for length of daylight!

Well, when I do night shifts in Summer, dawn starts to break at about 03.00 for a few days. Dusk hangs on until about 22.00, although you wouldn't drive with your lights off. :D

8 to 10 inches of fresh snow from last
noon to overnight here....

A little late for this sort of thing, but we
are coping with it as usual....

Besides, shovelling is GOOD for you X(

I've seen big dumps of snow as late as
mid-April before, but it's still a huge
pain in the butt.....

Still snowing here in places we had some this morning. They say March in the UK is in line to be the coldest on record.

I haven't seen any snow in Lincoln, my best friend lives in Goole and they've have 5 inches or so overnight which meant that our dinner date was cancelled :(( (rescheduled for Friday as long as the snow doesn't return).

And we were both talking about how the Daffodils are later this year.

We haven't got any 'yet' this time round - according the forecast it's moved over to west more that they first thought but we could get it later tonight. It's sleeted all day but hasn't settled.
