Not to be the bearer of bad tidings or
anything, but as some of you know, due
to my geographic location I often get to
"Test Drive" your upcoming weather a
few days before it lands on your shores........

Anyhow, it started to RAIN steadily this
noontime and is forecast to continue to
do so all the way to Sunday and beyond!

Sorry! :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :((

Danf.
I like to do my planning retroactively!

Its 'top & tail' class 57 diesels all the way from Milton Keynes to Carlisle. No steam on this one.

Any time. But in this weather, the air temperature at the top of the boiler house is over 50 DegC with the roof extractor fans running. You can't hold the handrails without wearing thick leather gloves, and we have to wear heavy duty Nomex overalls. To do any work we have to carry out a hot environment assessment with a WGBT machine which at the best allows 15 mins work with 45 mins rest. If it is heavy duty work such as scaffolding, no work is allowed. There is no wonder we get through 1,000 tea bags a week just in the Control Room. We have to supply our own doughnuts. :(

After a beautiful day yesterday and Monday for that matter it's heaving it down this morning. Pleased I'm not going anywhere!!

Edit: I've just realised it the first day of summer - not surprising it's raining =))

We've not had the rain but we have a short spell of high gusty winds - the down draft from your rain possibly XP.
