A Newbie replying to MOD

Postby Dr_bish » Fri Oct 12, 2012 8:52 pm

With all due respect, this is probably the most difficult site I have ever tried to register or even send a PM on, I must thank your administrator for registering me, CHEERS mate.

Moan over, sorry about that. I am used to things going a lot faster...

I received a PM from MOD and I cannot reply:

"I have heard from the likes of Alan White, Jon Fynes, John Spencer, the Blacks and various ground crew/engineers. Most have found this site by googling 'Lightning Tales' or 'Binbrook Lightnings' etc. Some have stayed and some just popped by. One has even gone on to buy a Lightning T5 !!!"

I am an Ex RAF Binbrook SNCO and obviously an ex Lightning Air Traffic Controller, well MOD I have controlled all of the pilots you have mentioned above, John Spencer was my CO and also my brother's OC, when he was on 29.

I was at Binbrook from 1986 to the end. Then someone had a sense of humour failure and posted me to Brize Norton.

On another website, RAFBinbrook MOD, I have written over thirty (30) short stories about my time there, a mix between Controlling and what it is like living and working at Binbrook and how we inter-acted with the local population, or my case, the ladies I had er um relationships with.

As always, if you need help with any Air Traffic related question(s), I will always be happy to try and help out.

If you make one more post, you will be able to send PMs.

You need three posts in total to release the PM authority. Annoying, I know, but it helps us eliminate spammers before they are able to start pestering people.
