Hello from Manchester

Postby Skudupnorth » Fri May 13, 2011 10:45 pm

Just joined what looks like a friendly site.Went to my first airshow at Woodford (RIP) in 1976 and have enjoyed many years of watching and taking photo's of aircraft throught the ages.I don't get as exited about new stuff because they do not look as exciting as the aircraft from the 70's and 80's although seeing the A380 come over the house is something else !
Went over to Woodford during the last few weeks of the Nimrod scrapping just to catch the end of a site that started my passion for aircraft and i still cannot believe the place is to close with so much history.
Hope to share some of my old photo's when i get chance to scan them (there are a lot ! ).Most are from Ringway in the good old days where each aircraft looked different along with varied colour schemes.

No room in the garage, too full of fishing gear, I used to drive a nice Olive Green version of the above! ;)
