Jay Slater: Aviation Writers to Join The History Press

Dear All,

My name is Jay Slater and I am the new senior commissioning book editor at The History Press in all things in aviation. Prior to this, I was the aviation editor at Ian Allan Publishing responsible for the recent TSR2, English Electric Lightning and Japanese Secret Projects.

I also review flight sims for Combat Aircraft and Aircraft magazines.

In a nutshell, I like aircraft, especially those of World War 2 (in IL-2, I am CPS-Bulldog).

Anyway, I am looking for writers with a story to tell. If genuinely interested, please drop me a line:

jslater@thehistorypress.co.uk

Very best wishes,

Jay

Thanks for the kind words, my friends.

If you have any ideas, or know people who do, do let me know.

Also, if any of you play IL-2 or Rise of Flight, why not have a multiplayer session and share my Ventrilo channel? I am part of the Casual Pilots Squadron and am rather good at the Bf 109G2. Rise of Flight is a bit more tricky, but looks beautiful.

By all means wing me a mail.

Oh yeah, we're very casual: casualpilots.com

It's a relaxed atmosphere and you can fly whenever you like without the strict regulations of some other IL-2 virtual squads. I've been a member for some three years and throughly enjoy my odd Friday evening chatting to the other team members on Ventrilo all over the world. If interested, why not drop us a line on the forum introduction page?
