Introduction

Postby Lancman300 » Mon Jun 21, 2010 6:12 pm

Hi all,
I've just joined the forum, so thought that I would tell you why and how.
I an a member (newish) of Lincolnshire's Lancaster Assn. and am interested in anything Avro Lanc, Linc etc. I must be 'getting on a bit', as I can well remember Lancs in service, where I lived; at the time we were surrounded by Lancs, Lincs and B17s, so you can understand a life long interest in 'proper' aircraft.
When I get my hands dirty, which is most of the time, it is with car maintenance, but like one or two others that I have just looked at, I am also interested in steam power, and in fact remember the steam engine which we had on the farm.
As you might have fathomed out by now, I am retired, so get a fair amount of time to (as my wife would put it, 'play'), but I keep telling her that this is not play, it's pure research.
I look forwards to gaining a lot of info from you long term members, and can come up with a yarn or two of my own.
By the way, I found the site with a link from BBMFs site.
Regards to all,
Lancman.

Hello. We may stray from the straight and narrow, but we love "proper" aircraft too. Please dive in and post \:D/

Nice to see another newbie!
