VX770 698 vulcan prototype FS9 and FSX

Postby Dougs » Thu May 12, 2011 11:19 pm

thought I would make a post on the progress of the flight sim aircraft I am making so the work so far,
Image
I have now added textures,
Image
then made the backend smaller and added wing tip probes sorted the transparency issues i had (could see through the wings and fixed the landing gear so it retracts)
Image
still got loads of jobs to do to finish it up, add suspension travel, animate the tires and front wheel steering, sort out the textures so they fit better and look right and maybe remake the wings so they can be made smooth but as it stands at the moment it is quite usable already, pretty happy with the results so far

Dougs, I can't even imagine how much work
and care goes into this sort of thing!

What I DO see is devotion and knowledge and
a process.

I do the same thing with editing, but I simply
can't imagine doing it with images and motion!

It obviously makes you happy, so Keep It UP!

And keep showing us what you're UP to, okay?

Danf.
I like to do my planning retroactively!

Excellent news, would be great have her in FSX. Oh by the way Dougs, there were no roundels under the wings on the prototypes, just the registration i think.

Vulcan B1 VX770 now availible for download for FSX
http://simviation.com/1/browse-FSX-54-0
Let me know what you think I would suggest swapping the panel and sound folders with the iris Vulcan ones just copy and replace them in the 698 prototype folder

whoops =)) =)) =)) sorry about that. Think it has something to do with reflecting textures i tried out. If you download the one on simivation (link above) and just replace the model in the model folder that should sort it.
BTW anyone got suggestions on mods/ additions for the model (i am going to be working on it this week) weaponry extra fuel tanks etc
