hi mrs T
no i have found the abacus software to be a bit 'buggy' with vista so I use DDS converter 2 to chainge the files to bmp or jpg and then edit with paintshop pro or paint. but the disadvantage I have noticed is a small reduction in quality through the conversion process. it was much easyier with flight sim 9, but i will figure it out eventually may even try and convert my two aircraft to fsx (Avro Atlantic & Vulcan B3) when i can figure it all out just cant get the time at the moment, and it takes soooooo long :)

At first glance, the picture quality doesn't look bad at all ... would be interesting to see side by side ;)

ok here is the side by side comparison i anyone knows how to fix this i would be forever great full the picture quality looks fine in the original so it must be something to do with layers but i don't know enough about it all yet, i will have to get my mortarboard out and get studying

as you are using paint or psp are you 'drawing' the text or are you using the text tool to 'write' the text?

bum haven't made myself very clear.... :ymblushing:

Never mind Pam, at least you tried to help and did not give him the bums rush.

All may become clear once he has read the associated BUMf.
Or he may just go BUMbling along like a country BUMkin BUMping into and getting stung on the BUM by BUMblebees :D

I understand you prefectly Pam I did draw the text not the text tools the two pictures look identical quality
i am looking it up but it has something to do with the alpha layer (reflections layer) dont want to be a BUM and bore anyone with the details ~x( i will 'BOTTOM' it though ;) :p

well Tom.com bit of free hand bit of cutting and pasteing and some patching up would sum up my latest 'effort'
repaints are not my forte, enjoy making the models more, like my avro atlantic and B3 vulcan unfortunately both are for fs9 and i have upgraded so i have to start again and it takes me about 1 1/2 months to get one right and i will have to learn it all again for FSX. :((

well when you copy there is a high chance that you can have size problems so it might be better if you did it straight on to it.
