Spent most of the day at my daughter's graduation in Cambridge. Considering it's a university town, it's strange how many people were staring while we were walking between venues as Sophie was wearing her gown and mortar. Needless to say, it cost me a fortune in photographs and memorabilia...still, it's a once in a lifetime experience. Except it may not as she now wants to do her Master's degree. Very proud of her (she obviously gets it from me).

My Grandma died two weeks ago and today the small family I have who all live down south (Kent and Hampshire) all came up to Lincoln to scatter her ashes where my Granddad's (her husband) ashes were scattered under the plum tree that we had planted for my dad (their son) when he died because he helped to build the Butterfly garden where it's planted.
Seeing my family made me happy, it was a very jolly affair. I haven't seen most of them in over a decade.

Absolutely!
Especially when you have such a small family like mine. I only have my mum (and visa versa), we have no other family up here and she has no immediate living relatives.
Everyone else is on my dad's side, his sister and her children, spouses and their children and that's it.

like glue because they are so very

Watching a huge flock of Geese on the wing heading north - there must have been about 300 or more making the most horrendous noise when they flew over.

I didn't mean it sounded bad just very very loud... I've never seen such a huge flock, where ever they are going I hope they make it safely. I was reading yesterday about a Canadian goose that had tracker fitted - the tracker was static for a few days and traced the goose whose was given the name Kelly was in an Inuits freezer she had been shot
