It's quite sad when someone once known for his commentary is now known for being a twat. :(

Am I allowed to say that? 'cos it's the only adjective that fits.

First time in years I didn't watch it today. I did just catch David Weir come second in the wheel chair race on the news.

BBC EPG states 9.00 - 14.00 Commonwealth games and the bit at the top says will include shooting, cycling, rubgy etc, etc so if you want to see something - in my case the veladrome cycling you need to keep switching channels because they don't give you a smaller break down for timings. Yesterday it was supposed to be on BBC3 and I found it on BBC1 ~x( ~x( ~x(

Then there's an inexperienced autistic son who gets a nail in his new tyre in an eminently repairable and saveable position ...but drives home with it flat for a mile and completely wrecks the wall and writes it off ... ~x(

Why are nearly all drain/man-hole covers placed exactly where you can't help but drive over them ? and why are most of them badly aligned causing necessary jolts X(

Full blanket of cloud here in St Ives ... nothing visible exactly as in 1999 :D :p

Here's to 23rd September 2090 - (I shall be 138)

Total Solar Eclipse: the next total eclipse visible in the UK follows a track similar to that of 11 August 1999, but shifted slightly further north and occurring very near sunset. Maximum duration in Cornwall will be 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Same day and month as the eclipse of 23 September 1699.

Or - partial on 12th August 2026 - (I shall be 74 - hopefully)

An eclipse which is total across Iceland, the Atlantic Ocean and Spain results in a very large partial eclipse across Britain with western Ireland the most favoured, at around 95% falling to 83% in London
