Found this streaming documentary site. Their homepage has lots of interesting documentaries, but I thought this might amuse you.

This popped-up on YooToob this morning,
and I thought some of you might like this
vid of a structure that's about a 15-minute
walk from my house:::::::::::::::

The original plan back in the 1890s was to
just build a big iron tank on the highest
point in Bangor for home service and fire
fighting purposes, BUT...........

The Good Ladies of Bangor didn't want a
huge, black, ugly hunk of iron which was
sure to RUST eventually which would be
viewable throughout the city....

It was the Ladies who insisted that the
water tank be enclosed with a pleasing
wooden structure and with a promenade
on the top and electric lights around the
"Crown" of the structure....

The influential MEN of Bangor agreed to
do this in order that they might not be
deprived of Food, Sex, Conversation
and/or Clean Laundry :D

And that's how the Thomas Hill Standpipe
came to be!

A unique structure in the United States!

I came across this while searching-out
Constellation news and thought it was
worth posting-up.....

Here's a fellow who seems to be the
perfect example of how some of the
very finest airline pilots of his generation
came along, and I have to wonder just
how many flying hours he accumulated....

http://www.thevillagenews.com/story/69550/

Looks as if he spent quite a bit of time
in England as well!

RIP Wayne Haggard and thank you for
a fine career :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

It isn't really all that powerful ~ about twice the power of ONE of XH558's Olympus 201s.

What would you rather have, a 28,000hp engine weighing 2.5 tons, or a 53,000hp engine weighing 2,000 tons?
Sooty

One Olympus 301 has twice the power of a complete F1 starting grid.
XM655 has four of them, all serviceable.

Unfortunately, you'd need a lot of Olympusss to push one of the new container ships along, and they are nowhere near as economical. But then, you wouldn't get a 2,500 ton engine in a Vulcan.

about the Torque than the Horsepower.....
