I don't normaly post WIPs but thought I'd stick my kneck out and have a go, if it all goes wrong I shall be dissapearing for a while! This is the start of a MiG-15 painting for a competition held by Manchester Aviation Art Society on the Korean war. I like the MiG-15 :) I'll be adding more aircraft at a later stage.

Looks as if it's getting where it needs to go!

And Quickly, too!

No match for the F-86 Sabre, though :p

I'll cross my fingers for the comp :ymapplause: !

Thanks Dan :) Keep those fingers crossed! Gonna try to do a bit more today. As you know Dan I'm more a string and fabric man than a jet head so won't argue with you on the MiG-15 v F-86 Sabre front though I'm sure some would ;)

Thanks mate :)
Off to RAF Cosford today, they have a MiG-15 on display there so I can a look at the real thing B-)
Shame the trip wasn't planned for the weekend Just noticed on their website they are having a huge display of models!
Not to worry there is never a wrong time to go.

Cheers,

Terry

Took some photo's of a model I bought from ebay (hadn't noticed the missing cannons :( ) Settled on one that looked to be following a similar flight path. Moved the final choice a little forward and enlarged it a bit.

Thanks Sooty, I'm really pleased you like it :) I've got a few minor changes to make before varnishing it but I'm happy the painting worked out OK. I'll repost the final pic as soon as I sort out those little niggling bits.
